NOTE - In 2023, Shademaker redesigned the Orion umbrella, so you will need to determine if you need a replacement canopy that is compatible with the Old version or New. If you are unsure which design you have, send us a photo and we will help guide you.
FABRIC ONLY - Does not include Canopy Frame
The Shademaker Orion Replacement Canopy lets you replace damaged or worn fabric, refresh an outdoor color scheme or keep a spare ready for an existing Orion Sidepost Umbrella. Although the Orion umbrella is discontinued, Shademaker continues to support existing units with replacement canopies and small parts. For restaurants, hotels and other commercial properties, a compatible backup can help reduce downtime and keep guests comfortably shaded when fabric needs replacing. This product includes the fabric canopy only, not the umbrella frame or base.
Choose from furniture- and awning-grade outdoor fabrics, including Sunbrella®, O'Bravia®, Tempotest® and Outdura®, according to the available selections. Solution-dyed acrylic and polyester options offer fade resistance for outdoor use, with colors ranging from classic neutrals to richer accent tones. When coordinating several umbrellas, specify the fabric brand and color code rather than relying on a color name alone.
Confirm Your Orion Version Before Ordering
Shademaker redesigned Orion in 2023. Select the Old or New design, then choose the size and shape that match your existing umbrella. Nominal dimensions alone do not establish compatibility. If you are unsure which version you have, send us a photo before ordering and we will help identify the appropriate canopy.
For properties with multiple Orion umbrellas, check each unit. Umbrellas purchased or replaced at different times may belong to different design generations, even when their canopies appear similar.
Before ordering, check the ribs, canopy attachment points and operating components, especially if the fabric was damaged or the umbrella is not working properly. We also offer replacement small parts, so contact us to confirm availability if other components need attention.
For larger installations, group replacement and spare canopy needs by umbrella version, size, shape and fabric selection. Labeling backup stock with those details helps staff identify the correct canopy when a replacement is needed. A fabric change can also help coordinate existing umbrellas with updated upholstery, exterior finishes or a new outdoor color scheme.
An optional protective cover can be selected when ordering for use while the umbrella is closed. Follow the canopy removal and installation instructions for your Orion version, and plan the work around service hours to limit disruption to outdoor seating.
