Scandinavian take on the classic Adirondack chair
Skargaarden’s Boste collection reinterprets the iconic Adirondack lounger through a calm, Scandinavian lens. Designer Stefan Borselius keeps the familiar low, laid-back posture but refines the silhouette with softer lines, rounded corners and gently lipped edges that feel more composed on modern decks and terraces. Inspired by the Baltic-coast village of Böste, the chair is meant to feel as natural by the sea as it does beside a pool or on a rooftop.
Rounded teak slats, slender steel frame
The Boste lounge chair and footstool pair wide FSC-certified teak slats with a slender, powder-coated steel frame for a mix of warmth and structure. The teak boards are rounded and smoothed, so the edges are kind to bare legs and the front lip supports the backs of your knees as you lean back. Over time, the teak will weather to a soft silver grey, while the protected steel base keeps the form crisp and durable through seasons of use.
