Astral Centerpost Umbrella from Shademaker

This gigantic market umbrella has a nautical-inspired minimalist design and high-end appeal. Its aluminum telescopic mast is reinforced with an internal galvanized steel stem. The centerpost and ribs have a powder-coated finish in one of four colors: Silver Shadow, Shadow Graphite, Architectural Bronze and Arctic White. The finish inures the metal against corrosion and water damage. Its convenient crank lift system is simple to operate and takes only seven turns to open the outdoor umbrella.

The spacious single vent canopy comes in two sizes and shapes and provides 172-266 ft² of shade for large spaces. It's covered in high performance synthetic polyester or acrylic fabric that is solution-dyed to ensure fade-resistance. Fabric comes in both Awning and Furniture grades. The all-weather textiles are available in a wide variety of chic neutral tones and bold colors from premium outdoor brands such as Sunbrella®, Outdura® and Obravia®.

Due to its large scale, the Astral patio umbrella requires substantial support. Shademaker recommends using a concrete or in-ground permanent mount, but freestanding bases and weighted steel plates are also available. The Titan Base frame accommodates sixteen inch stone pavers or weights that can be purchased at your local home improvement warehouse store. The minimum base weight ranges from 500-700 pounds, but you can be certain that your outdoor umbrella is stable even in windy conditions.

Astral is designed to close over tables and chairs, so it's a great choice for large al fresco dining settings in residential and commercial environments. The umbrella has been upgraded from nylon to aluminum hubs and fittings with commercial-grade canopy fasteners for extra durability.
