Solaris LX Sidepost Umbrella from Shademaker

The Shademaker Solaris LX Sidepost Umbrella combines daytime shade with integrated lighting for restaurant patios, hotel courtyards and residential terraces. Its 10' square canopy suits individual dining arrangements and smaller lounge groups. An aluminum sidepost keeps the center beneath the canopy clear for furniture, while a galvanized internal mast stem reinforces the frame.

With 100 square feet of coverage, Solaris LX helps designers define intimate seating zones within a larger outdoor space. Choose Silver Shadow or Shadow Graphite to complement furniture and architectural finishes. Allow room for the base, canopy movement and guest circulation when planning the layout.

Upward lighting casts a warm glow across the underside of the canopy rather than directing light down onto the table. The illuminated canopy gives each seating area a distinct presence after sunset. For hospitality projects, it helps carry the daytime layout into evening service. At home, it adds a soft ambient accent to outdoor dining and entertaining.

An external rechargeable battery pack includes a charge-level indicator and provides up to 6–8 hours of runtime. Use the remote to adjust the lighting or synchronize multiple Shademaker umbrella lights. Staff can coordinate the lighting across several seating zones from a single remote.

Shade remains adjustable throughout the day. Infinite front-to-back tilt changes the canopy angle, while 360° rotation offers eight locking positions around the mast. Shift coverage between nearby seats without relocating the base. A removable crank handle opens and closes the canopy.

Canopy fabrics offer another way to coordinate Solaris LX with upholstery and project palettes. Awning-grade options include solution-dyed acrylic from Sunbrella® and Treasure Garden Performance. Furniture-grade solution-dyed acrylic is available from Sunbrella®, Outdura® and Tempotest® in a broad selection of colors and patterns. A protective cover is included for use when the umbrella is closed.

Select the support system to suit the site. Infinity is the recommended freestanding base, with Titan and stacked steel Z-Plate bases as alternatives. Freestanding installations require at least 350 pounds of base weight. For a fixed umbrella position, concrete and in-ground mount kits provide permanent installation options.

Solaris LX has a Wind Rating of 8, corresponding to 38–46 mph, when properly installed with a Shademaker mount kit and the canopy open and horizontal. This rating is a guideline, not a guarantee, and does not apply to freestanding bases. Use freestanding installations only in light winds, and never tilt the canopy in windy conditions. Close and secure the umbrella when winds increase or whenever it is unattended. Wind damage is not covered under warranty.
