Papillon Shade Pavilion from Woodline

The Woodline Papillon Shade Pavilion combines a folding roof with optional walls and connecting gutters for outdoor spaces that need more than overhead shade. Choose it for a restaurant dining area, hotel lounge or residential terrace where privacy, screening from angled sunlight or coverage across adjoining tables matters. Two end posts support the peaked canopy without a center umbrella pole interrupting the furniture arrangement.

The 9'10" x 15'1" canopy accommodates approximately 10 to 12 people, depending on the furniture layout. It suits a long dining table or a group of lounge chairs arranged beneath one roof. Keep the posts and their supports clear of chair movement and service routes, and allow access to the crank and room to open and close the canopy.

Choose hardwood with stainless steel to coordinate with timber furniture and decking. For an all-metal frame, glass-beaded stainless steel offers a matte surface, while the marine-polished finish is reflective. The Symphony solution-dyed acrylic canopy comes in a choice of colors to match upholstery and exterior finishes.

A crank-operated reduction gearbox assists opening and closing, while folding wind stabilizers support the canopy in use. Unlike a fixed pavilion roof, Papillon folds down when shade isn't needed. Fold and secure the arms and stabilizers as directed, then fit the included zippered protective cover over the closed canopy.

Add Privacy & Connect Covered Areas

Optional side and end walls let you screen selected edges rather than leaving the seating area open on every side. Use a panel to add privacy beside neighboring tables or a property boundary, or to block low-angle sunlight that reaches beneath the roof. Leave other sides open for views, entrances and table service. This makes Papillon a useful alternative to an umbrella when you want to screen one side of a seating area without enclosing the others.

For larger layouts, place two or more Papillons side by side and connect their adjoining canopy edges with optional gutters. The gutter directs runoff away from the gap, reducing dripping between covered sections. This suits adjoining dining or lounge areas where gaps between separate umbrellas would leave tables or seats exposed.

Walls and gutters extend Papillon's uses, but they don't make it a permanent, all-weather enclosure.

Woodline classifies Papillon for moderate-breeze applications. Consider site exposure when choosing its position and support. Close and secure the canopy when winds increase or whenever it's unattended.
