This large offset umbrella has a modern design and upscale appearance. Its tall powder-coated mast is made from commercial-grade aluminum in grey or silver finish. The mast is reinforced by a galvanized steel inner stem with a stainless steel crank lift. The canopy tilts forward and backward, enabling you to adjust the position of your shade throughout the day to track the sun's movement.

Its spacious square canopy is 13-feet and it provides 131-172 ft² of coverage. The Polaris LX cantilever umbrella has an infinite vertical (front to back) tilt system, along with eight 45° locking positions and 360° rotation. The single-vent canopy is covered by high-performance weather-resistant textiles from Sunbrella®, Outdura® and O'Bravia®. Their solution-dyed acrylic and polyester fabrics are fade-resistant, UV-resistant, long-lasting and come in both Awning and Furniture-Grade weights. Choose from many vibrant colors or chic neutral hues that complement modern palettes. When not in use, simply fold the umbrella inward and wrap it in its high-performance protective cover.

One of the unique features of the Polaris LX is its lighting system. This model integrates upward ambient lights that create a glow on the underside of the canopy. The result is an attractive warm accent light that draws focus to the umbrella and provides subtle illumination when the sun goes down. Lights are powered by a rechargeable battery pack that lasts 6-8 hours on a full charge. Adjust the lighting settings with the included remote control.

The Polaris LX Umbrella demands substantial support to maintain stability in all conditions. Shademaker recommends their concrete or in-ground permanent mount kits. Otherwise, they have freestanding bases and frames for stone pavers or weights (not included). You can find them at home improvement centers. The Polaris LX umbrella requires a minimum of 700 pounds, which is a lot of pavers if you choose not to mount it. There are also fixed weight bases and stackable steel base weight plates.
