The cantilever design places the mast beside the canopy, keeping the space beneath open for furniture and circulation. Choose an 11'6 or 13' square, a 10' x 13' rectangle or a 13' octagon. Coverage ranges from 130–172 square feet. The rectangular canopy suits long dining tables and linear seating arrangements, while square and octagonal shapes suit lounge groups. For project layouts, consider canopy coverage alongside the base footprint and guest circulation.

A removable crank handle opens and closes the canopy, while infinite front-to-back tilt lets you adjust its angle as the sun moves. Polaris also rotates 360° with eight locking positions. Hospitality staff and homeowners can redirect shade without moving the base or rearranging furniture.
High-performance canopy fabrics offer a broad selection of colors and patterns to coordinate with upholstery and project palettes. Awning-grade options include solution-dyed acrylic from Sunbrella® and Treasure Garden Performance. Furniture-grade solution-dyed acrylic is available from Sunbrella®, Outdura® and Tempotest®. Striped fabrics are not available on the 10' x 13' rectangular canopy. A protective cover is included for use when the umbrella is closed.
For spaces that transition from daytime shade to evening dining and entertaining, consider the Polaris LX. This separate model adds integrated upward lighting beneath a 13' square canopy.
Plan the support system alongside the furniture layout. Permanent mounting is recommended for all four Polaris configurations. For freestanding installations, choose an Infinity Base or stacked steel Z-Plate Base that meets the weight requirement for your canopy.

Polaris has a Wind Rating of 7, corresponding to 31–38 mph, when properly installed with a Shademaker mount kit and the canopy open and horizontal. This rating is a guideline, not a guarantee, and does not apply to freestanding bases. Use freestanding installations only in light winds, and never tilt the canopy in windy conditions. Close and secure the umbrella when winds increase or whenever it is unattended. Wind damage is not covered under warranty.
