What's the difference between a cabana, gazebo and pergola?
Cabanas and gazebos both have closed roofs. However, gazebos and pergolas have all four sides open, while cabanas have only one. The other three sides of a pool cabana may be covered by movable curtains or more permanent walls. Pergolas are different from gazebos in that their roofs are slatted to allow some sunlight through.
Are cabanas and shade structures easy to assemble and disassemble?
Obviously, every model is different and is going to have different assembly instructions. However, these are structures generally meant to be used in different spaces and during different weather conditions. They truly are the perfect outdoor shade companion.

Are pavilions permanent outdoor structures?
Shade pavilions with wooden or metal roofs and thick support posts may be permanently mounted in concrete or to decking. These typically cover large or multiple picnic tables and seating. These permanent canopy structures do not need to be taken in at the end of the season (when properly installed).
Smaller versions with slender telescoping posts and fabric canopies are more mobile with freestanding bases. They tend to protect a single dining set or seating area.
When considering a permanent outdoor shade structure, it’s best to consider your long-term plans. Do you plan to use it just at home, or will you also want cabana shade on the beach? Due to the need for professional installation, permanent canopy structures are only ideal in certain circumstances.
