Orion Sidepost Umbrella from Shademaker

This modern offset umbrella has a smooth contoured design and high-end appeal. Its cantilever-style mast is made from lightweight aluminum with powder-coated finish in three neutral tones. The electrochemical process toughens the metal against rust and exposure to the elements, and the frame is also reinforced by an internal galvanized steel mast stem. The canopy is raised by means of a simple crank lift system that utilizes a high-grade stainless steel cable.

This mid-sized sidepost umbrella has a coverage area that ranges from 75-134 ft² depending on the size and shape selected. Orion comes in two sizes and is available in square and octagon configurations. The canopy is covered in high performance all-weather fabric that is fade and UV-resistant. The synthetic textile comes in many bright colors and chic neutral tones from luxury outdoor brands like Sunbrella®, O'Bravia® and Outdura® and is available in both Awning and Furniture grade weights. Orion's design rotates 360°, including eight 45deg; locking positions. The canopy also easily detaches for storage when not in use.

Shademaker recommends using a fixed mount kit (concrete or in-ground) to secure the Orion umbrella, but there are freestanding options as well. A steel base frame can be attached to the bottom of the mast and weighted down with sixteen inch stone pavers or weights. These square plates are not included, but can be purchased at your local home improvement store. Other fixed weight bases and stackable steel plates can also be used. The minimum base weight ranges from 350-500 pounds, so you can be confident that your umbrella is stable even in high winds.
